Jeffery Cruz is the Associate Director of Site Services at the University of Sydney Library. Jeffery's pronouns are he/him. Jeffery's qualifications include BA (Hispanic Language and Literatures) Boston U MA (Spanish) Middlebury MA (Information Resources and Library Science) Arizona.

Jeffery Cruz provides strategic leadership across four library sites to deliver client-centred support services, facility and learning space management, and oversight of a 1.5 million volume print collection. He leads Site Services in Fisher, Law, SciTech and the Conservatorium libraries and oversees Resource Sharing, Fulfillment, Membership and Physical Collections services.

Jeff’s career started in academic, public and special libraries in the United States and in Spain. After moving to Australia, he was the User Education Librarian and then Manager, Library Network at the City of Sydney. He became an Associate Director at the University of Sydney Library in 2016.

Jeff is passionate about customer service and library spaces, particularly enhancing the student experience within libraries. He is interested in how library spaces and client services evolve and adapt to changes in the educational and technology sectors, and enjoys working with people across the University to keep our services at the forefront of these changes.
